Rudbeckia hirta - Black-eyed Susan

This well-known plant is a great choice for fast establishing flowers in a new native planting. This variety of Black-eyed Susan is deer resistant and often flowers in it’s first year. It attracts bees, butterflies, and other insects like hover flies and long-horned beetles. Granivorous birds enjoy the seeds in winter time.
